Timberwolves the Team to Watch on Draft Day

Whether it be the NFL or NBA draft, there is always one team to watch that will determine how everything falls into place. In this year’s NBA draft, that team is the Minnesota Timberwolves, which own four picks in the first-round. The Timberwolves already had picks 6, 18 and 28, and they were able to grab the 5th overall pick when they traded Mike Miller and Randy Foye to the Wizards. With so many picks, the options are limitless — and the possibility of affecting what happens with other teams in the draft is inevitable.

The Long And Winding Road - 24 June

If you look good, you’ll play good – Boro reveal a proper kit…it’s debatable that adidas would envisage Mark Yeates as possibly the first new signing to wave one about at a press conference, if indeed there is one…Herman Hreidarsson would’ve been acceptable, with the rugged Icelandic looks and all, but he gets sides relegated, and his missus likes the seafood around Portsmouth better anyway

Vince Carter to the Magic?

As we get closer the NBA Draft tonight, trade rumors are flying everywhere. One rumor picking up steam is Vince Carter going to the Magic for Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee. I’ll have some thoughts on this if it actually happens. For now, here’s the report from ESPN.com:

The New Jersey Nets are in serious talks with the Magic about a deal that will send Vince Carter and Ryan Anderson to Orlando for Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee, two league sources told ESPN.com.

The talks have reached a point that a deal could be done by the end of the day Thursday, according to sources.

National Runway Cycle

On 21st May 2009, Miss Ain went for the National Runway Cycle event.
Cycled for 45km and came back 3/4 stomach empty. She was really amazed that she even managed to make it the finishing point!
Weather was so unbearably hot that day.
She was hoping that Sarip would wait for her at the finishing point and snap some photos of her glorious moments…but…jeng jeng jeng…Sarip was busy eating his GoGo Frank behind the GoGo Frank tentage when Miss Ain crossed the finishing line…TWANG! So much for being supportive Mr Sarip!

Getting Ready

Sarip Out...Jaja Rocks

To the starting line...1km away

Federer drops a set but still advances to fourth round at Wimbledon

Wimbledon, England (Sports Network) – Roger Federer dropped a set for the first time in this year’s Wimbledon but still advanced one step closer to his 15th major title with a third round victory at the All England Club Friday.

Federer, the de facto top seed after Rafael Nadal withdrew from the tournament, needed 2 hours, 31 minutes to defeat Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3, 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-1 on Centre Court, where the Swiss has won five of the last six championships here. In the all-time series between the two opponents, Federer has taken all four matches, although this was the first time they had met in a Grand Slam event.

Short Post Today

Peeling after a sunburn doesn’t hurt, but it sure is annoying.

I have determined that I want to acquire a Fender Telecaster.  I have half a mind to sell one of my guitars to do so, but I don’t think I can really do that.

I’m going on a Mexican food diet.  You eat it, gain sustenance, and then it works its way through you in about an hour and a half.

I love prime, mid-season baseball.  Nothing better.

The Minnesota Timberwolves (or Timberfools as they should be called) drafted 4 point guards out of their 6 picks in the draft.  3 of them were their first 3 picks.  Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I need to either purchase an external HD or build a server.  Whichever… I just need storage space.

Golf

Golf originated in Scotland about the 12th century well thats th emost accepted theory, with shepherds knocking stones into rabbit holes in the place where the famous Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews now sits. It is also believed that the ancient Egyptians used to play golf wow talk about ancient but even the Pharaohs must have debated whether this was a sport or not. The lack of a physical victory as seen in football, basketball, running and so fourth makes  it difficult for many to classify golf as a sports.

Tiger Woods the most famous golfer of them all will tell you that it’s definatley a sports the pyhsicality is not there but the wear and tear is still present.

Is Golf a sports or not?

Tell us what you think.

Musical scholarships: A look at the 2009-10 Cougar men's basketball team

ElViento: It went from the signing class that never was to the signing class that never ends.

The Cougars originally looked to have nine scholarship players returning for the 2009-10 season, giving them four free scholarships to offer. After much weeping and gnashing of teeth as to the lateness of the announcement, those four were filled up with the signing of high schoolers Kirk Van Slyke, Kendrick Washington and Nick Haywood, along with JuCo big man Maurice McNeil.
