Wednesday Quick Hits: Ricardo Miller's Move Set for Early July

  • Wide receiver commit Ricardo Miller is moving to Michigan from Orlando for good at the beginning of July. With Ann Arbor Huron changing offenses, it is no longer certain that Miller will go there for his final year of high school. Some other schools where he could end up are Ann Arbor Pioneer, Inkster, Saline, and Chelsea. I personally am hoping he goes to Inkster, as that is Devin Gardner's school. It would be nice to have them working together for an entire season before they actually get to U-M.

Tuesday Quick Hits: Cornelius Jones Commits to Michigan

  • South Carolina dual-threat quarterback Cornelius Jones committed to Michigan yesterday, becoming the Wolverines' 14th verbal for 2010. He is the second QB to commit and will likely be the last at that position for Michigan in this class. Devin Gardner is already a part of this class, and Jones is a good addition for future depth purposes at QB or perhaps another position. He is an athlete, and it's not like the depth chart for QB should be all that thin by the time he gets here.

Monday Quick Hits: Rodriguez Provides Updates on Grady, O'Neill

  • According to Rich Rodriguez, Kevin Grady will stay on the team if he takes care of all his probation responsibilities by when camp starts on August 9.
  • Rodriguez also confirmed that Dann O'Neill left the team and doesn't know if the offensive lineman will transfer to another school. The consensus was that O'Neill lost the love for the game, so I would be surprised if he transferred for football reasons.

Wednesday Quick Hits: Michigan to Play at Kansas in Basketball

  • Michigan is going to play at Kansas on December 19. Not only is this a tough matchup based on the fact that Kansas is going to be one of the nation's top teams next season, but Allen Fieldhouse is one of the toughest venues to play at in all of college basketball. This game is part of a home-and-home series, meaning Kansas will come to Ann Arbor in the 2010-11 season. (HT: UM Hoops)

Monday Quick Hits: Kelvin Grady to Play Football at Michigan?

  • Kelvin Grady has already left the Michigan basketball team, but he hasn't transferred to a new school yet. That may not end up being necessary at all, as he is apparently looking into playing football at Michigan. He would probably be a running back/slot receiver, which is what he basically played in high school.

Friday Quick Hits: Michigan Defeats Alabama, Moves on to Face Florida

  • Michigan beat Alabama with relative ease last night, winning its opening game at the WCWS by a score of 6-1. The Wolverines will take on Florida tonight at 9 p.m. on ESPN2. Florida beat Michigan 12-4 way back in February and is 60-3 this season.
  • The Michigan men's golf team has advanced to the NCAA match play finals after finishing sixth in the play-in round. Only eight teams are still alive for a national title, and Michigan's next step to reaching that goal is beating USC, which finished tied for third in the play-in round.

Wednesday Quick Hits: Michigan to Play Utah in Basketball

  • Michigan is going to play at Utah on December 9 as part of its non-conference basketball schedule. When it was announced that Michigan and Utah were going to open last football season against each other, there was some mention about basketball games being played between the two schools down the road. Considering that, I imagine Utah will come to Crisler Arena sometime in the next few years, as this seems like it would be a home-and-home series.
  • A track star from Rochester Adams is going to walk on to the Michigan football team as a receiver.
